Ateneo BCG Recruitment Week
Ateneo BCG Recruitment Week or Recweek for short, is the event that Ateneo Blue Consulting Group (BCG) holds annually along with other Atenean School organizations to gather and recruit interested students to become potential members for Ateneo BCG.
Ateneo BCG General Assembly
Ateneo BCG General Assembly is where new Ateneo BCG members are oriented about the structure and the different departments of the organization. This is their official starting point as members of Ateneo BCG as they meet the leaders of the organization and other newly accepted members.
Welcoming Night
Welcoming Night is the first opportunity for new and retained members of Ateneo BCG to bond with one other and celebrate the start of a new school year. Fun-filled activities and games are held to help cultivate newfound friendships within the organization.
Heads Up Trainings
Newly accepted members of Ateneo BCG undergo Heads Up Trainings during the start of the school year. These trainings are comprised of lessons and modules that introduces the consulting methodology that Ateneo BCG utilizes for its clients and during its consulting engagements.
Mock Engagement Trainings (MET)
To prepare members for consulting engagements with Ateneo BCG's clients, Mock Engagement Trainings (MET) are held to simulate what an actual BCG consulting engagement is like. This is their final preparaton and test before embarking on actual engagements with real businesses.
Team Building Activity (TBA)
Team Building Activity (TBA)Â is an enjoyable two-day event filled with obstacle courses and games geared toward building new friendships and strengthening existing ones. This project aims to build skills such as communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Attending this event gives members the opportunity to build camaraderie and teamwork within the organization to create a productive and enjoyable environment.
Peer Consulting Group
Peer Consulting Group is the mentor-mentee system within Ateneo BCG. It allows new members to be guided and overseen by experienced mentors who help integrate them within the inner-workings and projects of the organization.
Blue Escape
As the flagship project of the BCG Finance Department, the Blue Escape is a week-long event that aims to foster collaboration and creativity among Ateneo students by providing them the opportunity to challenge themselves in situations that require critical thinking, resourcefulness, and teamwork, all of which are skills that the organization advocates for as a consulting group.
InSIGHT
InSIGHT is an event held on Saturday were participants will get to visit offices of multiple companies. They will be immersed in the workplace environment through office tours and will have the chance to closely interact with company employees, providing an in-depth look at the culture of these reputable companies.
Tthis would be a prime opportunity for participants who are looking for internships or employment to get to know more about these prospective companies. These companies would naturally also be more open to accepting participants for their management or internship programs.
Specialized Trainings
Specialized Trainings are held by Ateneo BCG's Research & Training Department during the Second Semester to teach Ateneo BCG members specific aspects of business that they will need for their consulting engagments. It aims to make Ateneo BCG members more well-rounded in their knowledge that will enable them to better serve clients. Expert speakers and teachers from a variety of business fields comes and impart their expertise or provide an in-depth view regarding these topics.
Project UpLift
As the foundational project of the newly created Social Engagement Consulting department, Project UpLift aims to uplift the single adults, parents, and the youth in poor communities, or those who lack the opportunity, out of poverty by giving them access to an education of entrepreneurship and enterprising. This will allow them to have the knowledge they need to start their own business at their own pace and the opportunity to pass the knowledge to others who need it.
Leadership Training Seminar (LTS)
Leadership Training Seminar (LTS) is Ateneo Blue Consulting Group's two-day activity that aims to build leadership skills such as delegating, accountability, and taking initiative. Attending this event will allow members an opportunity to learn what it takes to be a leader and how to work as a team.
Singlesfest
Singlesfest aims to showcase that assurance, inner-strength, and worthwhile friendships are important for those that walk the lone path. It is a celebration of the single life and proclaims that people should not be afraid to embrace self-love in their lives.
Ateneo BCG's Awards Night
This annual culminating event is made to celebrate all of the successes that Ateneo BCG has accomplished as an organization. It is the premier opportunity to present its outstanding members with awards to recognize them for all their hard work, effort, and creativity that they have exemplified throughout the academic year.
Other Talks, Trainings, and Workshops
Ateneo BCG prides itself in providing for its members and to the outside public, opportunities to knowledge, skills, and aspects of business that are sometimes not taught in class.
Other Talks, Trainings, and Workshops are held throughout the year and are comprised of a variety of lessons depending on the need of the public. Guest speakers and professionals may appear to impart their knowledge for attendees to improve their overall skill set.
